CIEC welcomed a new team member in February 2020

The Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Center (CIEC) welcomed Mohammed Ally RASHID, the WHO Clinical Research and Development Fellow from Tanzania.

Mohammed is a Medical Doctor graduated in 2015 from Eskisehir Osmangazi University – Turkey. After his graduation he went back to Tanzania and worked as a Medical officer in public hospitals for two years. He started his Research career in 2018 when he joined Ifakara Health Institute, Bagamoyo Clinical Trials Unit (IHI-BCTU) in his home country Tanzania.

He won the WHO Clinical Research and Development Fellowship in 2019 and was placed at the Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH), Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Center (CIEC) for a period of 12 months. 

At the CIEC Mohammed will be involved in different clinical research projects from the very beginning, so that he can gain further knowledge and skills in the development of clinical research projects and their implementation at his home institution. Mohammed will improve his work efficiency when he goes back to his home institute.

In his spare time, Mohammed enjoys reading story books, watching documentaries and playing football.
