The Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Center (CIEC) welcomed a new member: Christelle BAHLAWANE, who joined the team on January 2nd 2020 as a Clinical Research Associate.
Christelle studied Molecular Biology at the University Claude Bernard in Lyon, France. She lived 3 years in Japan, where she spent some time at the Kyushu National Industrial Research Institute as a trainee and visiting researcher.
She gained her PhD in Microbial Genetics in 2008 at the University of Bielefeld in Germany. Subsequently, she worked as post-doctoral fellow in France (CEA Grenoble), in Germany (Medical School Hannover) and in Luxembourg (University of Luxembourg, LSRU), investigating molecular mechanisms behind cancer development.
She joined LIH (IBBL) in 2016 as a Project Manager where she was involved in the set-up and the coordination of national and international projects in Oncology or Oncology related fields.
Christelle is now joining the CIEC team, ready to acquire new competencies and to share her knowledge to strengthen clinical research in Luxembourg. In her spare-time, she enjoys hiking in the wild with her family.
